Join us on this weekend travel package to the 2019 Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Nicknamed the "Doyenne" of the classics as it is the oldest race which still currently takes place,
Liège-Bastogne-Liège really is a good bet.
The big guns of the cycling world have taken the title:
This is a race favored by the Belgium’s, as they have won the race 59 times.
The race has been affected by tough weather. In 1919, 1957 and 1980
there was snow.
In 1980 snow fell from the start, leading commentators to call it
'Neige-Bastogne-Neige '(Snow-Bastogne-Snow') Bernard Hinault
attacked with 80 km (50 mi) to go and finished nearly 10 minutes ahead.
Although it takes place across "flat land", this race skims numerous
Coasts, such as the renowned Côte de la Redoute, a regular feature of
Liège-Bastogne-Liège is coming home.
After 27 years the Liège-Bastogne-Liège is coming home after it has finished in the suburb of Ans, the
finish will return to the centre of Liège from next year and remain there for at least five years after that.

Please note we have a special bike trailer where you bike is carried fully assembled with the front wheel
out, therefore there is no need to have your bike disassembled and in a bike bag / bike case.
We take a mid-morning sailing from Dover to Calais and arrive in Liège at approximately 19.00hrs where
we spend 3 nights on bed and breakfast at the hotel Ibis Liège Centrum.
If you have booked your Sportive entry with ourselves, we will collect your bib number on your behalf.
Saturday 27th April 2019: Liege Bastogne Liege Sportive
After an early breakfast, ride the short distance from the
hotels to the start.
There will be the option of taking part in either the 273km,
156km or 75km events.
The event organisers have numerous feeding stations and
mechanical service at the control points.
For those not riding the sportive the day will be at leisure in
the city of Liege.
Sunday 28th April 2019: Liege Bastogne Liege
Our location in Liege is ideal for accessing the start area
where you will be able to see the teams arrive, after which
we shall take you to numerous points along the route to get
as many sightings of the race as we can, including the steep
• Cote St Roch
• Cote de La Redoute
• Finish in Liège
Monday 29th April:
We shall leave Liege and travel to Calais taking an afternoon sailing
with P&O ferries Calais to Dover, with approximate drop off times of:

• Watford Gap, 19:00hrs,
• Birmingham 20.00hrs,
• Manchester 22.00hrs,
• Leeds 23.00hrs
• Manchester 22.00hrs,
• Leeds 23.00hrs.
